Their construction uses solid wood components in high-stress areas — drawer fronts, bed posts, frame joints — with engineered wood panels in lower-stress areas like drawer bottoms and back panels. This is the industry-standard construction approach at the mid-range price point; what varies between manufacturers is where they draw the line between solid and engineered components.
